Deprecation of 'Use Content Delivery Network' Feature Jul 18, 2026 17:00 - Jul 19, 2026 17:00 PDT

We are completing the final phase of the deprecation of the "Use Content Delivery Network" (CDN) feature in Zoom Meetings Web. The UI-side disablement was rolled out last year, and we are now performing a full backend cleanup — removing the remaining codebase and associated database tables.

What Is Changing?

The backend infrastructure supporting the "Use Content Delivery Network" toggle is being permanently removed. This includes:

- Removal of all code related to the CDN feature
- Cleanup of associated database tables

The feature's UI control has already been disabled and was communicated in a prior release. This update completes the full deprecation cycle.

Why Are We Making This Change?

This cleanup effort is designed to reduce technical debt, streamline our codebase, and minimise the risk of future regressions. It is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a healthy and efficient platform.

Impact on Administrators

- No disruption is expected. This is a backend-only cleanup with no customer-facing impact.
- No breaking changes or compatibility issues are anticipated.
- No action is required from administrators or end users.

This communication is being sent proactively out of an abundance of caution, in the unlikely event of any minor hiccups during the maintenance window.

Zoom Contact Center Maintenance - Australia Aug 7, 2026 04:00-11:00 PDT

Zoom will perform service maintenance at our Australia (Sydney) data center starting at 09:00 PM AEST (4:00 AM Pacific) on 7th August 2026. Zoom Contact Center users registered to the Sydney data center will be automatically registered in an alternative data center (Melbourne). During the maintenance window, a brief disconnection may be experienced and notifications may be missed. If you get disconnected, the system will attempt to reconnect you automatically. Once the Sydney maintenance completes, will perform the similar activity in Melbourne.

If you are a BYOC (Bring Your Own Carrier) customer, please ensure that your Session Border Controller (SBC) is configured with alternate routing to Zoom’s Frankfurt data center in addition to the Amsterdam data center. During the maintenance window, connectivity to Zoom’s Sydney data center will be blocked which will force calls from the Session Border Controller (SBC) to failover to Zoom’s Melbourne data center. Traffic will continue to be routed through the Zoom Sydney data center once the maintenance is completed.

Zoom will perform service maintenance at our "US West (SJC10)" and "US East (IAD10)" sip zones sequentially starting at 8:00 PM Pacific on August 7th. Zoom Phone users registered to the those sip zones will be automatically registered in the other side sip zone sequentially. During the maintenance window, a brief disconnection may be experienced and notifications may be missed. If you get disconnected, the system will attempt to reconnect you automatically.

Traffic will be routed back to the original sip zone once the maintenance is completed.
